Kompass has just received it’s initial review by Kyle McInnes at BlackBerry Cool!

The review points out the benefit of Kompass’s web-based system and the instantaneous interaction with Basecamp. He highlights the fact that creating Basecamp elements in Kompass is “almost as fast as creating them from the desktop”. He states, “Overall, the transitions between menus is very fast. Running a Bold 900 with 3G, there was very little lag between screens, and the app gave me a renewed optimism about web-based applications.” and “The fact that Kompass is a mobile site would be pretty beneficial to a company that has a lot of device fragmentation.”

He also points out that Kompass would benefit from tighter integration with native Blackberry’s apps. Many of the native BlackBerry features that Kyle requested are features that are in the works. In the future, we intend to utilize many of the native features of various devices to give each user an even tighter integration with their existing apps.
